Ingredients
1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt
3/4 cup chopped cucumber, peeled and seeded
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tsp fresh mint, chopped
2 tsp fresh dill, chopped
2 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
2 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/3 cup feta cheese, crumbled
2 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
2 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
1 egg
16 mini pitas
4 lettuce leaves
4 small tomatoes, sliced
1/4 English cucumber, thinly sliced
Step 1
Tzatziki: Stir the yogurt with the cucumber, vinegar, mint, dill, oil, salt and garlic. Chill for at least 2 hours.
Step 2
Sliders: Preheat the grill to medium-high; lightly coat the grate with cooking oil. Stir the breadcrumbs with 1/2 cup tzatziki, feta, lemon zest, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic and egg. Crumble in the turkey and gently mix to combine. Form into 16 patties.
Step 3
Grill, turning as needed, for 15 minutes or until well-marked and cooked through.
Step 4
Split the pitas open. Spread some tzatziki on the inside of the pita. Add lettuce, tomato, cucumber and a cooked patty.
